Learn about new cultures
More than 15% of TRU’s students belong to the international community and with a great passion and love for their home countries, many of them join IDays either to represent their countries and/or to remind themselves of home. IDays is a great opportunity to get to know how things work and how things are in different parts of the world and to meet great people willing to show their cultures.
Food, performances, booths, and much more
Did I say food already?! In the International Showcase, taking place on March 15th, all of TRU and Kamloops community are encouraged to participate and represent their countries. In this huge closing event, outstanding performances are presented to the community and people from all around the world have the opportunity to have a booth to showcase their country with photos, music, food and all kind of objects. Oh, and don’t forget about the fashion show, where everyone gets to show their traditional clothing!
One of the best things about IDays is the great opportunity of trying new food from many countries around the world. Join us for a great taste experience, whether it is in the International Showcase, in the lunch menu given around campus or in events such as IDays Cooking Show and IDays Indigenous Fusion. So for those food lovers (I know are out there!), don’t hesitate to participate in all of these amazing events!

From morning to evenings, IDays has events for you. Yoga, speakers, academic and leisure workshops, musical events and so much more to choose from! Make sure to check the schedule and the events posted on Facebook, get your tickets and register to the events that need registration before they’re sold out! If you are one of those students who is constantly participating in all of our Instagram swag contests and you are always searching for ways to win swag, this is your opportunity to get tons of it! Almost everywhere you go, TRU staff will be giving out swag. Patience, optimism and TRU Spirit mode on!
Party in the long-desired IDays’Â Bash!
Partying, on a Thursday night? It’s IDays! There’s always an exception to the rule, guys! TRU’s Tourism and Management Students present The Collage Party, music and art experience combined for one night with great artists invited such as Slynk, Fort Knox Five and Paul Butler.
